About us ...

My name is Kim Hill and I have been married to David for 25 years (2004) we have two daughters Jodi and Megan. We share our house with four Cornish Rex and a tri coloured Border collie called 'Beau'.

I first saw a Cornish Rex back in the late sixties at a show. My family always had Siamese, so the pretty cat was put to the back of my mind for about thirty years when by chance I mention to a friend that after a few years of being cat less and now dog less I was thinking of getting a cat, and so there started my obsession with Cornish.

Beau

Helen

I was lucky enough to get a chocolate Tortie girl called 'Poppett', and a red and white variant boy called 'Henry'. These two I had for many years and after they passed away I began my search for another Cornish to share our lives. I had decided that I would quite like a Red girl, but finding one was another thing!

After a lot of searching I found the most beautiful girl, 'Ywys Guinevere' or 'Gwen', as her friends, living just down the road in Petersfield, know her.

The breeder Gill Cornish agreed I could breed from her and so Daki cats were born. A short time later her sister 'Helen', or belly-belly to her friends, came to stay as well.

Gwen

Tinkerbell

'Gwen' was eventually bred with 'Mapu Peppi', a Caramel pointed Siamese and I kept a girl kitten named 'Tinkerbell' from this litter. 'Tinkerbell' has the Daki prefix.

Later in the same year 'Tinkerbell' was born I was offered a chocolate boy called 'Joshua' from Jackie Green. So 'Jacnjan Joshua' came to stay.

I have shown Joshua since he was young and after a slow start he was made up to Grand Champion at the Supreme Cat Show in November 2004. See Show page for Joshua’s results.
